Praying From The Heart

Prayer must come from the heart; it is not just reciting some memorized scripture, or reading what someone else has written in a book as a prayer. Matthew 6:7 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." God listens when we pray, so we need to pay attention to what we are praying.

Different Types of Prayers

Thanksgiving - The prayer of thankgiving is giving thanks to God for all things in our life. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Petition - The prayer of petition is when we ask God for the things we need, or think we need, in our life. When we pray a prayer of petition, we are presenting our personal needs to our Heavenly Father, trusting Him to provide.

Intercession - Intercessory prayer is when we pray for the needs of someone else. It is love on its knees in prayer, for others.

Prevailing -This type of prayer is fervent, insistent and consistent until a breakthrough takes place. This can be a prayer for us, our families, or for someone else.

Consecration - When we pray a prayer of consecration, we are committing and dedicating of our life to God's use. Jesus prayed a prayer of consecration ... Luke 22:42"Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will but thine be done."

Spiritual Warfare Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against us in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ you have given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt us.

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, we have authority to loose and bind on this earth. And because you have given us authority, we come against the demonic forces that will hinder God’s plan for our life.

Now Satan, we silence you in the name of Jesus and render you helpless and take dominion according to the Word of God: For the Bible said in Matthew 18:18: Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Now Satan and your demonic angels and forces, we render you helpless in the name of Jesus and send you back to the dry place. Your assignments have been cancelled against us. We paralyze you and silence you, forbidding you from influencing or controlling our territory, our minds, our jobs, businesses, education, ministries and our families.

As spiritual warriors for God’s Kingdom we are destroying your very works: The spirits of hate, bitterness, murder, envy, jealousy, sorcery, adulteress, homosexuality, lesbians, child abusers, accidents, false accusations, filthy communication, false cults, death or any evil spirit that tries to enter into our life. Your negative influences in our thoughts and minds are destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

We come against blindness, sickness, binding the spirits of bondage and heaviness, fear and hate in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Father in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we come against the spirit of Witchcraft, spirit of divination, lying, whoredom, seducing spirits, anti-christ, haughtiness, superstitions, gossiping, deception, and the spirit of infirmity.

Now Father, we pray in the name of Jesus that our eyes, ears and spirit will be open so we can see your glory. Open our hearts so we can hear your voice speak. We pray that we are not ignorance to Satan strategies. We pray that you will release warring angels against demonic activities.

Father thank you for the authority and job description you release unto us before ascending into heaven, which said in Mark 16: In my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Thank you Father in the name of Jesus for allowing us to be protected with the armor of your Word according to Ephesians chapter 6. Thank you for allowing us to use our offensive and defensive weapons, which is the name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God. Father we thank you, for you have already won the battle for us.

Now Father, we pray that your Word will have free course in our life and continue to lead and guide us into all truth. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth we pray.

Do You Know Jesus? If Not Confess This Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to you now, I acknowledge you as God, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner, I have sinned against you. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God and he was born of the Virgin Mary.

I believe that Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for sins of the world, sins which have blinded me and separated me from you.

I believe, Heavenly Father that you sent Jesus Christ to personally die for me and my sins. I believe Heavenly Father, you raised Jesus Christ from the dead and he is alive and well, seated at the right hand of the Father.

Father I accept Jesus Christ into my life and repent from my sins. This day I choose to obey Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Now Lord, fill me with your Holy Spirit and use me as a willing vessel. Heavenly Father I ask that my life will glorify you.

Thank you Heavenly Father for my salvation by faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
